About John Griggs
Music has been the constant in my life. I grew up in a family of Deadheads, so while other kids learned nursery rhymes, I was at concerts learning about microphones, speakers, amps, and how to weave them into something greater.
That foundation never left. I have spent decades building custom systems, running live shows, recording performances, working with carnival crews, tuning car audio, and restoring instruments. Bad sound drives me crazy; getting it exactly right is what I live for.
Today I work on any system you can imagine — from a single repair bench to a full venue overhaul. Griggs Sound is the result of years of friends, clubs, and venues asking me to finally put a name on what I do.
